I wanted to share a video of a work from Los Angeles Doctor’s Symphony Orchestra‘s performance from June 2011. This video is of Edward Elgar’s Salut d’Amour. It is a very sweet and flowery piece, which makes sense given that Elgar presented the work to his betrothed as an engagement present.
The audience really enjoyed the performance and we had a great time playing it. Enjoy!
- Classical music: There is more to graduation and commencement – and to British composer Sir Edward Elgar – than “Pomp and Circumstance No. 1.” We need to hear more Elgar. (welltempered.wordpress.com)
